On the occasion of the publication of the 1,000th edition of the magazine Il-Ħajja f’Għawdex, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech recently celebrated a thanksgiving Mass at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary for contributors to the magazine, which has been published by the Gozo diocese since 1945. Its editor Francesco Pio Attard, and four of the magazine’s previous eight editors were also present for the Mass, which was animated by the Chorus Urbanus and was followed by a reception next to the basilica.

To mark the occasion, Maltapost plc also issued a special hand stamp through its Victoria branch, which is available from the Gozo Philatelic Society. The hand stamp features the new masthead of the magazine, which was launched on the special 1,000th edition.
