These are the stories which made it to the front pages of Friday's newspapers:

The Times of Malta reports that a multi-million tuna racket has been traced back to Malta. It also said that the court has found enough evidence to indict John Dalli's former canvasser on charges of attempting to elicit bribes from Swedish companies.

In-Nazzjon gave prominence to the launch of a foundation, inspired by Simon Schembri, the policeman who lost an arm after stopping a teenage driver. By coincidence, its main story is about a 17-year-old who drove at police who tried to stop him. It also reported that when it comes to education, Malta is towards the bottom of the league table.

The Malta Independent also reports of the setting up of Mr Schembri's foundation, along with a story about child abuse, saying that most cases involved married couples and not priests.

L-Orizzont leads with the fact that this year's Budget will put considerable emphasis on justice and finance, along with inspiring quotes from Mr Schembri, and information about other government measures.
