BOV Premier League side Birkirkara have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of striker Petar Orlandic.

The Montenegrin forward put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Stripes.

Orlandic, whose last experience was in China at Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard FC, brings an important physical presence to Paul Zammit's team with his 1.91m height.

The Montenegrin, who started his career at FK Zeta Golubovciin, has plied his trade in various countries across the world.

He moved to Israel with top-flight side Hapoel Tel-Aviv before heading to other countries including Serbia, where he made a name for himself at Red Star Belgrade, scoring 14 goals in 30 games between the 2014/15 and 2015/16 season.

Orlandic could make his Birkirkara debut on Saturday when they take on Tarxien Rainbows.

The Stripes have nine points after winning just three of their opening six matches.
