BORG. On October 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (former Customs officer), aged 88, of Rabat, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Giuzeppina, his children Anna and her husband Eddie Said, Marthese, and Marie and her husband John Ellul, her grandchildren Roberta, Stephanie, Andrea, Karl, Gino and Gordon and their partners, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, October 16, at 2pm for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at the cemetery in Luqa. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors at home.
BORG. On October 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr JOSEPH BORG, SJ, aged 86, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta and India, his sisters Sister Emmanuel (Sister of Charity in India) and Sister Joan (Missionaries of Charity), nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday, at 4pm at Naxxar parish church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery, Naxxar. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Infirmary for aged and sick Jesuit Fathers and Brothers will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.
BUGEJA FONTANI. On October 12, Count JOSEPH passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Amy nèe Nicolas, his son Mark, his daughter Sue and her husband Paul Sultana, his son James, his precious grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Sam and Mia, his in-laws Freda and Dr Antoine Schranz, Joanna and Prof. Alex Felice, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. HILI. On October 14, EUGENIO, aged 56, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rita, his sons Ryan and Sean, his siblings Alfred, Mary, Therese, Philip, George, Josephine, Manuel, William, Alex, Raymond, Stella, Lora and Annie, widow of John, in-laws Joyce, Mary, Joe and Jane, other relatives and friends. On October 14, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, JOSEPH of Sliema, a beloved husband and father, aged 95, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his immediate family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife the Most Noble Doris nèe Caruana Dingli, his daughter Bertha wife of Anthony Darmanin, Jeannette widow of the late Marquis Dr John Laferla, his treasured grandsons David and his wife Kirsten and Michael and his wife Daniela and their children, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Casa Antonia tomorrow, Tuesday, October 16, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Merciful Lord grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank nurses and carers at Casa Antonia for their care and dedication during the many years he spent there.
MANNING. On October 13, at her home in Texas, USA, DARIA, née Dowling, aged 68, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Ross, her loving children Brooke and Lauren, their spouses and her adored grandchildren, her mother Jean, brothers and sister, nephews, nieces, relatives and the many friends in Malta. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
