A 45-metre-high pole - perhaps the tallest in Malta - collapsed on Sunday evening near Kenuna Tower on Nadur hill in Gozo.

Photographer Darren Cassar said the incident happened at about 6.45 pm owing to a strong wind.

Kenuna Tower is a communications tower built by the British in 1848.
