Real estate service provider Zanzi Homes recently invested in upgrading its training programme for new recruits joining the sales division of the QLZH Group. At the start of each month, Zanzi Homes will be hosting the Zanzi Homes Academy, an intense and detailed training programme for sales property specialists joining the company. The month-long training will have both an element of classroom and on-the-field training.

The course was designed by the leadership team of the company, following months of feedback from property specialists about which topics would benefit most beneficial for the job. Apart from new additions to the team, more experienced sales specialists also had the opportunity to select individual sessions to attend to serve as a refresher.

Modules covered during the course include a thorough history of real estate in Malta, property valuation techniques, the complete sales cycle, objection handling, how to market properties, due diligence requirements, as well as personal development topics such as motivation, time management and goal setting.

Attendees are also introduced to the company culture, a very strong element Zanzi Homes believes in.  Lecturing during the Zanzi Homes Academy are eight of the company’s top sales managers and franchise owners sharing their best practices gained from years of experience in the field. Together with these managers, Zanzi Homes also invited an architect, notary and bank representative to share their professional expertise and answer some frequently asked questions.

Part of the Zanzi Homes Academy set-up team was the company’s COO Fabio Zuccaro. “Zanzi Homes and the QLZH Group were founded on a strong belief that success and growth come through consistent and motivational training. We have always provided our people with coaching but following the rapid growth of the company we felt the need to revisit our offering and upgrade our modules,” he said. The Zanzi Homes Academy is a spin-off from a similar training programme offered by the QLZH Group for their letting brand, QuickLets. The QuickLets Academy was introduced early last year and its fruits could be seen soon after. The QLZH Group was also behind the design of Malta’s first official real-estate accreditation course, in collaboration with Lead Training. Spread over six months, the course leads to an MQF Level 5.

“The industry we work in is moving and changing at an extremely fast rate.

“We understand the importance of being on top of things and we want to ensure that our people are well equipped to deliver the best service possible to our clients. Coaching and training are essential elements for our team to do their job right and that is why we invest our time, efforts and resources to make it happen”, says Steve Mercieca, co-founder and CEO of the group.

Apart from the two Academy programmes, QuickLets and Zanzi Homes deliver regular personal development coaching at a bi-weekly company meeting, as well as attends multiple skills training sessions organised by third party providers.
