Alex Papagiorcopulo is being appointed manager of the niche Homes of Quality business unit, which caters for the high-end property market. Massimo Coleiro will be moving to manager of the San Ġwann branch, while Simon Marchett has been appointed assistant manager within the management team for the Fgura and Cospicua branches, led by Stanley Bonello. Mr Marchett will be responsible for the Cospicua branch, specialising in the historical Three Cities, Cottonera and surrounding areas.

Mr Papagiorcopulo joined HOQ just over a year ago and quickly established himself with-in the team. He holds a postgraduate qualification in marketing through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and has held several management and senior management positions with Bank of Valletta over the past 22 years.

He has led teams in both front-facing and back-office functions. “I aim to further consolidate Homes of Quality’s position. Our consultants are highly experienced and offer a professional service tailored to the requirements of clients. HOQ will remain at the forefront of property brokerage and will continue to build on its untarnished reputation for quality service while embracing new technologies and methodologies aimed at enhancing customer experience,” Mr Papagiorcopulo said.

Company director and previous HOQ manager Grahame Salt said: “Managing the Homes of Quality team has been great fun and a fantastic experience over the past few years, but I felt that due to other commitments, HOQ would be better served having a full-time manager focused on driving the brand and team forward.

“I also wanted someone to experience working at Homes of Quality and what this entails to properly understand the business before taking it over.”

Going forward, Mr Salt will be focusing his energy on the group’s general business development, Berkeley Investments and his personal clients.

Prior to joining the company in 2004, Mr Coleiro gained considerable sales and management experience through various roles with leading local firms, having worked in retail, import/export and distribution sectors and handling diverse lines of business such as wines and spirits, tableware and electric appliances.

He also worked with a high-profile local company importing and retailing specialised fabric and fine arts, where he was initially responsible for the wholesale and contract divisions and subsequently appointed managing director.

He became one of the company’s top sales consultants early into his career with Frank Salt Real Estate and has consistently been a top performer for the past 14 years.

“I am very confident and committed to taking up this new challenge, together with the support of the very capable team at the San Ġwann branch. I will continue to drive this branch and its team forward to become one of the top performing offices in the near future.”

Mr Marchett has over nine years’ experience in real estate. He joined Frank Salt Real Estate in 2009 when he was only 21 – one of the youngest recruits at the time. He has continued to develop professionally and contribute towards the company’s goals and growth. His determination to succeed, motivation to develop himself professionally and his availability and willingness to always assist his colleagues are among the main factors that have led to his appointment.

“It is truly an honour and I am determined to build and lead a young and energetic team. My appointment reflects the company’s commitment to develop young and loyal individuals within the organisation,” Mr Marchett said.
