Following a visit to Seville recently, I could not help notice the great number of urban trees in the streets, roads and open spaces. It was hot, at 35˚C, but the trees gave much-needed shade, pleasure to the eye besides better air quality. There were trees in plazas, in front of houses and historical buildings, in narrow streets and pedestrian zones… Alas what a contrast with our country.
