MUSCAT. On September 21, ANTHONY, Dip.E.E., C.Eng., FIEE, AMICE, at the age of 82, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Lina, his children Louise, John, Christine and her husband Marcus, his grandchildren Jasmin, Leah and Louis, his brother, in-laws and their families. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Monday, September 24, at 8.30am at the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, Mosta. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On September 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr ENEAS MUSCAT, of Birkirkara, aged 73, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Mary, his children Lavinia and her husband Marco, Drusilla and her partner Paul, Livia and her husband Andrea, his granddaughters and grandsons Kylie, Christienne, Leanne, Amy, Maya, Oliver, Jamie, Luke and Margherita, his brother-in-law Joe and his wife Jessie, aunt of his wife Maggie Gialanze, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, September 25, at 2pm for St Therese of Lisieux Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar Bjorn (ALS Malta) would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On September 21, GIORGINA, of Blata l-Bajda, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church at the age of 94. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Salvinu, Marlene and her husband Eddie, Maria and her husband David, Salvino, widower of her daughter Antoinette, her grandchildren Alessandra, Angela, Alison, Dorian, Audrey, Abigail and Marie Claire, her great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, September 25 at 2pm for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal chapel (San Ġorġ Preca), Blata l-Bajda, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Antique and old furniture sale
Antique and old furniture and collectables will be on sale at St Helen’s parish centre, Birkirkara (at the back of St Helen’s Basilica) from Tuesday to next Sunday. Opening hours will be daily between 9am and noon and from 3 to 7.30pm. On Sunday it will be open only in the morning.
