GIORDIMAINA. On September 18, at Central Home, Mosta, SALVU, of Rabat, aged 89, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lucia, his sons Paul and his partner Fleur, Ronald and his wife Nancy, and David and his wife Kylie, his grandchildren Charlene, Gabriella, Joseph, Katya and Nikita, his sister Karmena, widow of George, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Wednesday, September 19, at 4pm, for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm. The Count Roger Band will accompany the cortège to St Margherita Cemetery where interment takes place. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MALLIA. On September 18, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, GLADYS nèe Borg, aged 72, widow of Ronald, went to meet the Risen Lord after an illness borne with great Christian fortitude. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Stefan, Lara and Louisa and her husband Lee Connell, her adored grand-daughters Mattea and Michaela, her sisters Joyce and Yvonne Borg, Violet and her husband Robert Laurenti, and Margaret and her husband Saviour Dalmas, her brother Hector and his wife Tessie, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, September 20, at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and Dar Sagra Familja, Żabbar would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
