The bronze monument to Ninu Cremona in Victoria, Gozo is to be temporarily removed and stored because of work on the new Gozo Museum.

The Gozo Ministry said the decision was taken to ensure that the monument was not damaged by the works.

Ninu Cremona (1880-1972) was a well-known writer, linguist and health inspector. The monument was made by Alfred Camilleri Cauchi and inaugurated by then Education Minister Agatha Barbara in 1973.
