Facility management solutions enable efficiency and agility in business functioning. They are gaining vital importance in many organisations. The facility management concept comprises software and solutions that allow efficient management and use of workspace, real estate, assets, relocation of offices and buildings and energy management. It standardises services and streamlines processes.

Databyte is offering a new facilities management application as an extension of the company’s already operational Time and Attendance application in the HR suite.

The product helps companies manage the planned work schedule of their clients’ on-site jobs through a cloud-based and real-time solution that monitors in real time the clock-ins and outs for jobs and tasks done up to completion. The system keeps track of the duration of every job in a project, enabling companies to ensure an efficient and transparent service to all its clients both during as well as on job completion. The real time graphical representation of consumed versus planned timing for each task is key to this module for planning purposes.

Databyte CEO Frederick Micallef said: “Enterprises are moving beyond the traditional concept of facility management to address rapid technology changes and current business needs that are helping in the increasing adoption of these solutions. We have always believed that the future is cloud technology and we are gearing our products to help business operators use this technology to become more competitive and relevant.

“Today, through our HR suite, we are at a point when we are being associated with those corporates who want to have readily available information in real time while handling their projects. We are currently penetrating the market gaining market share both by way of our cloud software solutions as well as through the interfacing route of linking our HR suite to established third party applications. This Facilities Management solution is a case in point.”

By the end of the year, Databyte will launch two flagship products in line with its strategy to become strong market players delivering cloud software solutions – a further improved version of Workforce, their HR cloud solution with extended HR functionality and a separate 3PL Managed Warehousing cloud solution.

While consolidating locally, Databyte is also eyeing international markets which it plans to address with technical and marketing assistance from Gartner as its marketing partner. The global facility management market was valued at $31.96 billion in 2017 and is expected to reach a market value of $64.5 billion by 2023, registering a compound annual growth rate of 12.41 per cent during the coming five years.
