By 2030, the government and other public entities have to switch to emission-free vehicles, whether bought or leased,

This was confirmed  by Climate Change Minister Josè Herrera when he addressed the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco.

He said that the government was committed to encouraging electric vehicles and that it would continue to improve the infrastructure required for their use.

Another initiative was the update to the Green Public Procurement plan which would incentivise environment-friendly purchases by the government.
