Motorbike passenger badly hurt in St Julian's collision

30-year-old taken to Mater Dei for treatment

A 30-year-old woman riding pillion on the back of a motorcycle was gravely injured on Tuesday in a traffic collision in St Julian’s.

The woman, a Portuguese national, was riding a Honda NSC bike driven by a 29-year-old Portuguese man when they collided with a Nissan NV 2000 van driven by a 55-year-old Swieqi resident

The incident happened on Triq Sant’ Andrija at around 3pm.

A medical team was dispatched from Mater Dei Hospital and took the woman to hospital for treatment. Police are investigating further.
