Horses and storks

At the moment, on my radio station of choice, Oz and Jay, two colonial DJs are, for once, sensibly urging parents to keep youngsters protected against the harmful UV between 11am and 3pm.

Hearing this, I could not help wondering why, therefore, should one expect horses to drag carriages with overweight drivers and quite often four ‘big’ tourists round the streets of the Capital of Culture in the midday inferno.

The Malta marathon is held in February. Why? Because running in those hours anytime between May and November is debilitating.

In our Capital of…, horses are afforded the same protection as storks.
