These are the stories which made it to the front pages of Monday's newspapers:

The Times of Malta reports that the Qawra primary school has been hit by further delays, pushing its opening date back by another year. It also says that the standoff between Malta and Italy over migrants has ended but that things are still tense.

L-Orizzont also picks up on the migrant issue, reporting on the Prime Minister's Sunday speech, in which he said that the EU responds to persuasion and reasoning - and not to threats. The newspaper also reports that Air Malta got 82,000 hits via its new link on Ryanair's website.

The Malta Independent also refers to the migrant issue, but in its case, it quotes MEP Miriam Dalli, who says that the UN should play a role in finding a solution. The main story is about a home for the elderly in Marsascala about which the council is concerned.

In-Nazzjon showcases the PN leader's Sunday intervention about the need for a good quality of life for all in society, and also says that a man who was found guilty of abusing children has been given a jail sentence.
