JM Vassallo Vibro Steel Ltd (JMV) hosted an event to celebrate its collaboration with the ISOMAT brand in Malta by holding a training seminar at the JMV Building Solutions premises in Żebbuġ. JMV strongly believes in a culture of education.
ISOMAT is a producer of building chemicals and mortars with a multinational perspective. Founded in 1980, it currently has three production plants and export sales in more than 50 countries, including Malta. The company produces and distributes a wide range of products in six categories: waterproofing materials, paints and renders, tile adhesives and grouts, repairing materials, admixtures and floorings.
The brand is committed to innovation and owns a fully organised R&D department, equipped with specialised scientific personnel working in five chemistry labs, where new products are developed every year in keeping with changing market needs and with the latest technological developments in the building sector.
The training topics covered had been chosen according to the feedback received from clients over the previous months, and apart from the two subjects of waterproofing systems and microcement coatings, a session was also dedicated to new products released on the market.
Apart from focusing on a sound theoretical background, the sessions were also supplemented by live demonstrations. The contractors were also encouraged to participate in applying products themselves throughout the training.Guests were later invited to a reception at the Hilton Malta to celebrate the occasion with guests Dimitris Lolos, ISOMAT’s export director, and Theodoros Yfantidis, area export manager.Mr Lolos said: “We thank Raymond Vassallo, JMV’s managing director, for organising this 10th anniversary event. Over the last 10 years both partners have served the mission in a professional way to develop strong relations with Malta’s construction industry market. The value added is that we do not just supply materials but also the technical solutions and applications. JMV is the sole entity in Malta that can give the construction industry this package of services. We look forward to another event like this one with JMV in 10 years.”
Mr Yfantidis went on to say: “When I started with ISOMAT I made my first trip to Malta and this was when I first met Mr Vassallo and JMV. I felt we could do things really well together. I could see that there was a lot to be done in the construction sector. I could see the potential. So, now after 10 years, I am happy to see that my first feeling was right. In this way, we could manage to do our bit in making Malta shine even more and show what a lovely place it is.” Mr Vassallo said the decision to collaborate had been positive from the outset.
