We refer to the letter by Albert Borg regarding football commentaries (August 17) and would like to take this opportunity to clarify the point he raised.

At present, the Premier League does not authorise live commentary in the English language in any country within the European Economic Area, of course with the exception of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. However, Malta has been granted an exception, with limitations. This means that GO has the right to provide English language commentary on all live matches, with the exception of some additional matches, in most cases, the match live on Saturday at 4pm.

English language commentary is also prohibited for all match transmissions to mobile devices.

I trust this clarifies matters.
