British organist Luke Mitchell, an organ scholar at Winchester College, is performing a recital on the Noel Gallo & Michael Farley organ at the Xewkija rotunda in Gozo. The programme includes music by Bach, Marchand, Vierne, Reger and improvisations.

The versatile instrument was made recently, with the needs of high standard organists in mind.

Designed specifically for the Xewkija church by Noel Gallo, a Maltese internationally-renowned organ architect, the three-manual instrument has 39 stops, which also include a set of 25 tubular bells.

The concert will take place today at 7.30pm at the Xewkija parish church, Xewkija. Entrance is free.
