The Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival closes today with a final round of activities.

Today’s programme features:

• Jean-Rémi Gandon (France) – poetry

• Philip Sciberras (Malta) – poetry, with an introduction by Prof. Bernard Micallef

• Ali Thareb (Iraq) – poetry

• Aslı Erdoğan (Turkey) – prose, interviewed by Nadia Mifsud.

The poetry film Hail the Bodhisattva of Collected Junk, directed by Ye Mimi (Taiwan), will also be shown. It will be introduced by Noel Tanti.

A discussion about the cultural context of migration and exile will also be held at 7pm at Fort Manoel. The session will be led by Alexandra Buchler with the participation of local authors and experts working in the field: Walid Nabhan,  Maria Pisani from Integra and Murad Shubert.

The Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival is being held at Fort Manoel, Manoel Island.  Entrance is free.
