A special screening of the film Pope Francis: A Man of his Word, with the Archbishop in attendance, will be held tomorrow in Valletta.

The film, by Wim Wenders, follows Jorge Mario Bergoglio, a Jesuit from Argentina, on his journey to becoming known as Pope Francis. Shot over many years and featuring several interviews with the Pope as well as resources from the Vatican archives, the film shows not only the Pope’s spiritual journey but his connection to the everyday citizens he encounters.

The film’s release coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Pope’s ascendancy.

The screening is being held tomorrow at 6.30pm at the Embassy Cinemas in Valletta. Tickets are available from the Embassy box office. All proceeds from this event will go to Caritas Malta. Refreshments will also be served before the film.
