Australian solo guitarist Plini will perform a concert entitled ‘Plini & Friends’ at the Valletta Campus Theatre, Valletta, on Wednesday.

At 26, Plini has been ranked among the best progressive rock guitarists today and has already amassed critical praise from both the press and fellow musicians.

Guitarist Steve Vai described Plini’s debut album Handmade Cities as “one of the finest, forward-thinking, melodic, rhythmically and harmonically deep, evolution of rock/metal instrumental guitar records I have ever heard”.

Plini has also released three EPs and a variety of singles and has collaborated with some notable names in the field, including Marco Minnemann, Chris Letchford, Troy Wright and Rick Graham. In 2017, Plini started performing at a series of headline tours of Europe, the UK, North America and Australia.

At Wednesday’s concert, organised by PS Music, Plini will be supported by genre-hopping local act The Ranch.
