Swimming is the best exercise

I often see overweight people jogging along the Sliema front in an effort to lose weight. I am sure that they do not realise how much harm they are causing to themselves while running on hard ground. Each step taken is like a hammer to the joint, cartilage and synovial fluid inside the knee.

The best exercise one can do is to go swimming as often as possible.  Just look at water polo players.
