BUTTIGIEG. On August 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr FELIX BUTTIGIEG, OSA, of Birkirkara, aged 80, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Augustinian community, his sisters Marcelle and her husband Joseph Casha and Vanna Buttigieg, his brother Joseph and his wife Carmeline, nephews and nieces, their respective spouses and families, other relatives, friends and all the community at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara. Fr Buttigieg’s body will be on display for public mourning at Dun Ġwann Mamo Augustinian Oratory, Tarxien, tomorrow from 8am. The funeral leaves the oratory tomorrow, Monday, August 20 for St Nicholas of Tolentino church, Tarxien, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DEBATTISTA. On August 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL, of Żurrieq, aged 78, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Mary, his children Cynthia and Francis, his son-in-law Victor, his grandchildren Jean Luc and Christine, other relatives and friends.

She leaves to mourn her loss her children David and his wife M’ Louise, Dennis, M’Lourdes and her husband Lino, Esther and her husband Horace, her grandchildren Jeanelle and her fiancé Matthew, Lisa Marie, Andrea and her fiancé Marc, Justine and her fiancé Josef, Stefania, Luca and Lara, her brother Joe and his wife Carol, her brother Emanuel, her sister Carmela, and Salvina, widow of her brother Nazzareno, and their families, in-laws, many relatives and friends.

He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Lena, née Briffa, his children Maria and her husband Robert Sammut, Elizabeth and her husband John Depares, Gilbert and his wife Grace née Sciberras, his grandchildren Edward, David, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Matthew, Liza and Emma and seven great-grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Rose Vassallo and Eileen Mifsud, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. GRAINGER – BARRY JOHN, Sqdn Ldr RAF (retired) of Lincolnshire, UK but residing in Marsascala. On August 3, 2018 at the St Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Hazel and a proud and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service will be in UK. A memorial service for his many Maltese friends will be held later in the year. May flights of angels guide him to his rest.

VELLA BRINCAT. On August 17, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, EVELYN, née Portelli, of Pembroke, at the young age of 57, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Pierre and his wife Stacey, Desiree and her wife Joanna, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, their respective spouses and families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, August 21, at 7.45am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass in celebration of her life will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery.
