Works by artist Anastasia Pace are currently on display at Palazzo de Piro, Mdina.

The Polish artist, who settled in Malta in 2005, describes her style as a “colour reverie”. Her paintings use vibrant colours and allegories which go beyond fantasy into the mythological.

Pace attended the Academy of Arts in Moldova for five years.

In 2004, she joined the Moldova Union of Artists and participated in over 100 art exhibitions in various countries, including Moldova, Russia, Germany, Latvia, Malta and Italy. Her works are also currently exhibited in a number of international museums.

Inspired by tales of the fantastical, myths, legends and fairytales, Pace fell in love with Malta’s rich culture and heritage and decided to stay.

She currently teaches at the Malta School of Arts in Valletta, while painting and enjoying the Maltese lifestyle with her husband and children.

Her target is to emphasise feelings of hope and positivity and to communicate these through her paintings.

“Malta is truly an inspiration. Its roots are so deeply steeped in its ancient mysterious history, local myths and legends that truly feel as though each stone and pebble must be hiding its own story,” the artist says.

Anastasia Pace’s exhibition – Malta Kaleidoscope – is on display at Palazzo de Piro, Mdina, until August 27. Viewing times are from 10am to 11pm every day except for August 27 (10am to noon).
