CALLEJA. On August 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, RITA, née Agius, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne bravely. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband George, her son Alan and his wife Marika, her daughter Cynthia and her husband Paul, her grandchildren Nicole, Alessia and Beppe, her husband’s and her brothers and sisters together with their spouses and children, other relatives and friends. A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 16, at 9am, at St Mary’s parish church, Attard. Instead of flowers, donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GALEA. On August 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, YVONNE, née Azzopardi Castaldi, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Martin and his partner Solange, Alaine and her husband John, Karen and Paul, her grandchildren Max, George, Philip, Dominic, Serena, Charlotte, Hannah and Emily and her great-grandson John, Vanessa, her sister Rosemary and her husband Norman Vincenti, her sisters-in-law Terry Zammit Tabona and Winnie Cassar, her brother-in-law Joseph Galea and his wife Rose, her nephews and nieces, and many friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Monday, August 13, at 9am at St Julians parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares, Mater Dei Hospital, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family wish to thank her carer Vangi, the doctors, nurses and all staff at Mater Dei Hospital who were so attentive and caring during her final days.

GRAINGER – BARRY JOHN, Sqdn Ldr. RAF (retired), of Lincolnshire, UK, but residing in Marsascala. On August 3, 2018 at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Hazel and a proud and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service will be in UK. A memorial service for his many Maltese friends will be held later in the year. May flights of angels guide him to his rest.

MIZZI. On August 12, JANE, of Guardamangia, aged 63, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Francis, her children Alison and her husband Omar, Marilyn and her husband Carlo, her mother Ġużeppa, her father-in-law Alfred, her grandchildren Ian and Ylenia, Anya and Emily, her brothers and sister Anthony, Mary and her husband Joe, Joe and his wife Grace, in-laws and their respective families, Marlene and Brigitte, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14, at 7.30am for the Immaculate Conception church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.15am followed by interment in the family grave at Għargħur Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Movement would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Family regret they are unable to receive visitors at home.

TROISI. On August 11, PROF. JOSEPH, of Naxxar, aged 74, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Pauline, his son Christopher, his daughters Monique and her husband Guillaume, and Marcelle and her husband Olaf, his grandchildren Mathilda, Philippa, Benjamin and Mathis, his in-laws and families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, August 13, at 8.30am for Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, Naxxar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On August 11, ERMINIA, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Sylvana and her husband Sandro Galea, Catherine and her husband Tony Alamango, Marlena and her husband Johnny Bongalais, Noel and his wife Sandra, Joan and her husband Charlie, her grandchildren  Nicholas, Mark, Matthew, Mariana, Maria, Daniel, Noeleen and Fabian, great-grandchildren, her sister Jane, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14, at 1.15pm for St Joseph the Worker church, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

Being the trigesima die of our dear MINKA FERRANTE DARBOIS’s demise, the 6.30pm Mass said tomorrow, August 14, at Tal-Ibraġ church will be offered for the repose of her soul. Relatives and friends are welcome. Kindly re-member her in your prayers.
