Swimmers can once again take a dip at Sirens in St Paul’s Bay, environmental health authorities saido on Sunday.

The popular spot was closed off to bathers earlier this week after sewage spilled out into the sea.

In a statement issued on Sunday morning, the Environmental Health Directorate said that it had taken repeated seawater samples over a number of days from the site and that the water was now fit for bathing.

For further information on the quality of bathing water, call 2133 7333 between 8.30am and 2pm or email mhi@gov.mt. Outside office hours, members of the public can call the automated system on 2182 7146 or on 7950 9918 in Malta or 7950 9919 in Gozo.
