A festival featuring various culinary delicacies and cuisines, including Asian, Mediterranean and the best of Gozitan food is being held in Xewkija today and tomorrow.

The Gozo edition of the Malta International Food Festival last year attracted more than 6,000 people.

At the festival there will also be beer and wine stands while live musicians entertain the crowd opposite Xewkija parish church.  There will also be a vast choice of sweets and home-made ice creams.

The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Gozo Ministry and EcoGozo.

The event is being held today and tomorrow from 6pm onwards. Entrance is free of charge but those attending will have to purchase tokens to redeem for food. The Malta Public Transport and other operators will be offering a shuttle service from the Mġarr Ferry Terminal to Xewkija Square through route 323.
