The Leone Philharmonic Society will, for another year, be producing the Leone Band in Concert: Festa Edition, as part of the traditional and national festivities of Santa Marija in Victoria.

This concert annually presents a vast selection of music from various genres, such as musical pieces from films, musicals and other classical pieces.

The Leone Band, under the direction of Colin Attard, will also perform the cantata in honour of Our Lady, Per la Festa di Maria Assunta in Cielo of 1913, composed by Orlando Crescimanno with lyrics by Ramiro Barbaro di San Giorgio. This cantata will see Maltese tenors Charles Vincenti and Alfred Camilleri and the Aurora Youth Choir.

This open-air concert will be held today at 9pm in Republic Street, Victoria. Entrance is free, but seat reservation is recommended by e-mail on info@leone.org.mt or SMS on 9913 0694.
