The Żejtun Organisation to Empower You (ZOEY), in collaboration with the Żejtun local council and Valletta 2018 Foundation, is organising a Żejtun National Heritage Treasure Hunt for the third consecutive year.

The treasure hunt will leave from Ġnien l-Għannejja Żwieten (known as St Gregory’s Gardens) in St Thomas Bay Road on Friday at 6pm.

Those attending stand a chance of winning €2,000 in prizes.

Participants will learn and discover interesting facts about the history of the southeast of Malta, especially the locality of Żejtun.

Everyone will be given a map and information about each place.

For those aged between eight to 17, the hunt will be done on foot, while those aged 18 and over need to drive or cycle to find the ‘treasure’ using a camera, smartphone or tablet.

In the adults’ section, passengers in cars can be aged under 18. In their section, children and teens can be accompanied by their parents.

Those wishing to take part should form a group of three of four people. Should this not be possible, the organisers will form the groups on location prior to the hunt.

Everyone is invited to take part. One can register online at www.facebook.com/zoeymalta or at the Żejtun local council. Registration is free. For more information, call 2166 3866 or 9920 3815 or send an e-mail to chircop.sean@gmail.com.
