KFC Malta have championed the No Straws Movement following the roll-out of the campaign at KFC Singapore. As from this month, Malta will no longer serve the plastic lid and straw with drinks.
The exception to this policy is for take-away and drive-through drinks that will require both the lid and straw for practical purposes. KFC feel urged to champion this motion as part of their effort to reduce single-use plastics.
Every little bit counts and KFC is doing it one straw at a time. KFC urges their customers to join them during this meaningful journey.
Food Chain business manager Kurt Micallef said: “After being the first restaurant chain to start donating our food to charity we felt we had to act and contribute to the devastating effect plastic is having on the environment. We are excited to be able to come together as a team and help contribute to saving the planet one straw at a time.”
