Watch: Pieta' car vandals identified, arrested

Damage runs into thousands of euro

Last updated - Monday 11.15am - Two men who were recorded on video vandalising cars at Pieta' seafront have been identified and arrested.

The two men were seen kicking car doors, mudguards and mirrors on Sunday morning.

Ten cars were damaged in the incident at about 5.30am.

One of the men appeared to be carrying a guitar case.

Hubert Camilleri, a car dealer who uploaded video footage, said on Sunday that many people had responded to his request for information and a police report has been filed identifying those involved.

He said the damage runs into thousands of euro, with side mirrors costing 400 euro for some cars, apart from the damage to doors and mudguards.

The two men are expected to be taken to court.
