Good morning, the following are the top stories in Malta’s Sunday newspapers.

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that the law firm Mossack Fonseca refused a request by Nexia BT to state outright that no declarations of trust for the Panama company Egrant had been issued in the name of the Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat, new leaked e-mails show. The newspaper also quotes Prime Minister Joseph Muscat saying that Malta will stick to its position on migration at an EU summit on Sunday.

MaltaToday reports that the Augustinians had rented land in Paceville to Bay Street to hide the deal from the Archbishop, since rents do not need to be notified to the Curia. It also says the EU is drawing up a plan for migrant reception centres outside the bloc.

The Malta Independent says Brussels has confirmed it is actively investigating alleged illegal state aid through Keith Schembri's links to Crane currency. It also says that the Planning Authority has asked itself for permission to excavate inside a grade one bastion.

It-Torċa reports that according to its survey, the gap in popularity between Joseph Muscat and Adrian Delia is 26.2 per cent, in the Labour leader’s favour.

KullHadd says 1,000 new trees are being planted every month. It also quotes Joseph Muscat saying migration policy is based on humanity and security. In a third story, it reproduces emails which it says shows how trappers were misled by the PN prior to the 2008 election.

Il-Mument focuses on delays and problems in the Family Court following data issued by the leader of the opposition.

Illum quotes former president Ugo Mifsud Bonnici saying that were he in the position of Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, he would have resigned rather than signed the Embryo Protection (amendment) Bill. It also says that Alfred Sant has not decided yet whether he would seek re-election to the European Parliament.
