Heritage Malta is hosting the third instalment of the Regional Concert Series, Ritual, on Saturday.

The concert, which will be held at the Mnajdra Neolithic temples, combines a recital of music archaeology and contemporary repertoire. Taking place once at sunset and once at sunrise, the concert will see Scottish trombonist John Kenny tracing the evolution of the trombone through its predecessors, including a conch and a replica of the Celtic war horn, the ‘carnyx’.

Ritual is also an opportunity for the audience to celebrate the summer solstice at a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Ritual is being held tomorrow at 7.30pm and on Sunday at 6am at the Mnajdra temples, limits of Qrendi. Tickets are available from https://shop.heritagemalta.org and from all Heritage Malta sites and museums.
