A disturbing 911 call was played in this California courtroom, detailing some of the alleged abuse of 13 children by their parents, David and Louise Turpin.

The couple's 17-year-old daughter could be heard on the recording telling a dispatcher that three of her siblings were chained to their beds, that they would wake up at night and start crying, asking her to call somebody.

The teen finally did make the call in January, after police say she escaped through a window at the family's California home and called 911 on a deactivated cell phone.

That led to the arrest of her parents who are accused of starving and shackling their 13 children - ages 2 to 29 - in a house that authorities say, reeked of human waste.

In the recording, the girl said she couldn't remember her home address telling the dispatcher, "I've never been out."

The girl also said she couldn't breathe because the house was so dirty.

The 911 call was made public during the couple's preliminary hearing. The judge must now determine if there's enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

The couple has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is being held on twelve million dollars bail.
