In recent times Eddy Privitera says that whenever one goes to the bank or to the broker to deposit €1,000 or so in cash, in his own account, one is invariably asked from which source the money came from.

I am not surprised that the teller at the bank asks, since few are those who can afford to go to the bank with €1,000 or more in cash. The most people who frequent the bank are either old-age pensioners or workers cashing their miserable minimum wages. Ask pensioners or those employed what they have to say or think about their minimum wages?

Had he asked Minister Manuel Mallia it would have been better, since they are both birds of a feather, hence Mallia wouldn’t hesitate to tell him as much as Adrian Delia did.
