■ Today, Fontana celebrates the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a Pontifical Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 9am, with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus directed by Mro John Galea. Xagħra archpriest, Mgr Carmelo Refalo, will deliver the panegyric. The St Margaret Band will play marches along the parish streets at noon. Solemn vespers, led by Mgr Rużar G. Borġ, will be celebrated at 6.30pm. Mgr Refalo will lead the procession, accompanied by the La Stella Band. The Precursor Band will give a concert on the church parvis at 8pm. The Ite Ad Joseph Band closes the celebration, followed by fireworks.

■ A car boot sale in aid of the Arka Foundation will be held today from 7am at the main car park in Marsalforn.

■ A blood donation session will be held at the District Health Centre in Triq tal-Ħamrija, near the Xewkija Primary School, on Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm.

■ The feast of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu will be celebrated on Friday. Masses will be said at 5, 6, 7, and 11.15am and 6.30pm. Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical Mass at 9am, while Archbishop Charles Scicluna will lead a Pontifical Mass at 7.30pm with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament between 12.30 and 5pm, followed by an aux flambeaux procession at 8.30pm. The celebration will be broadcast on Radju Marija 102.3/107.8 FM. and on Radju RTK 103.0/97.8FM.

■ Nadur village will be holding the 25th traditional agricultural fair (wirja agrarja) at Archpriest Martin Camilleri Square on Saturday from 8pm and next Sunday from 8am.
