Good morning. These are the leading stories in this Friday's local newspapers.

Times of Malta leads with news that Air Malta has turned to a Chinese recruitment agency in an attempt to hire more first officers and pilots.

The newspaper also gives prominence to EU Justice Commissioner Vera Jourova’s visit to Malta.

Ms Jourova’s two-day visit gets top billing in the Malta Independent, with the paper highlighting her comment that the European Banking Authority’s investigation of the FIAU could lead to infringement proceedings against Malta.

The newspaper also reports that the PN’s electoral commission has been dissolved.

L-Orizzont reports that around 900 people are believed to be living in garages and quotes Marsa mayor Frans Debono as saying prostitution is on the rise in the locality.

In-Nazzjon dedicates most of its front page to a photo of the 2018 Russia World Cup opening ceremony, with the newspaper also reporting on political developments in Chile, following Archbishop Charles Scicluna's fact-finding mission concerning child abuse by members of the clergy there.
