Maltese band Cryptic Street was shocked to discover last month that the Birkirkara garage in which they practice had been broken into, and musical equipment worth €6,000 stolen.

Now, even as a dedicated crowdfunding effort is taking place on ZAAR to help them collect more funds, local artists are getting together to lend a hand to the all-girl band.

A number of Maltese musicians will get together on Friday 15 at Funky Monkey, Gżira, for Sajf Lajf, a festival that offers a night of local music to help Cryptic Street get their equipment back.

The line-up includes Sam Christie (acoustic); nosnow/noalps (acoustic); The Velts;
Five Years From Now; BILA; Bark Bark Disco; Beesqueeze; and, of course, Cryptic Streets themselves.
