A Nadur Youngsters footballer has died in a traffic collision in his Brazilian homeland.

Sandro Muller, 31, died after the car he was driving crashed head-on into two vehicles on a motorway near Campo Grande, south of the capital Brasilia, on Tuesday.

Muller joined Nadur in August of 2017, in his second stint with the club following a period when he was on its books during the 2012-2013 season.

He was in Brazil on holiday to visit his father and other relatives, Brazilian media reported.

Muller is believed to have crashed after losing control of his vehicle while driving on a wet road. He died on the spot.

In a Facebook post, Nadur Youngsters paid tribute to Muller, saying the club had lost a “great player, a great friend and an amazing person.

“Thank you for all you did to our club,” Nadur Youngsters wrote on Facebook.
