Heritage Malta is organising an evening event at Fort St Angelo on Friday, in which participants will learn about the fort’s medieval past.

The event, titled Medieval Night at Castrum Maris, will start with a performance by the Show of Arms re-enactment group, who will explain methods of combat and demonstrate arms used in those days.

Participants will also be given the opportunity to handle weapons, to try on armour and to take part in an archery session in the fort’s grounds. They  will then be given a guided night tour of the fort focusing on its use during Malta’s medieval period. Participants who wish to extend the experience by spending the night at the fort may reserve their own sleeping facilities in the Admiral’s Hall overlooking Grand Harbour.

Medieval Night at Castrum Maris will be held on Friday at 7.30pm.  Refreshments will be served during the event. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and enquiries call 2395 4242, 7973 4490 or visit www.heritagemalta.org/medieval-night-at-castrum-maris.
