University of Malta improves its international ranking

The University of Malta has improved its performance in the U-Multirank survey and international comparative indicators for 2018.

Ever since the University began participating in the survey in 2015 it has consistently improved its performance and ranking across the five broad dimensions of university activity measured by the U-Multirank, namely teaching and learning,  research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement.

The U-Multirank web tool enables prospective students to compare different universities as a whole as well as in specific fields of study. It also allows users to develop their own personalised rankings by selecting indicators in terms of their own preferences.

U-Multirank, which is supported by the European Commission, started in 2010 with 150 participating universities, and now includes data from 1,500 higher education institutions. Unlike other international university league tables, the U-Multirank is driven by users rather than by private companies, and ranks universities on a like-with-like basis. The University of Malta is therefore compared with universities of comparable size and scope among the 1,500 participating universities.
