ELLUL. Cherished in life, beloved in death. Our angel, GIULIA MARIA, was entrusted to us by the Lord to love and to hold, to protect and to treasure. She touched our lives for six years with an immense joy, giving a special meaning to each day, even when life was at its darkest. She enriched our lives in a way that only a beloved child can and in spite of the immeasurable pain and emptiness that she has left behind, we thank the Lord for the great gift He endowed us with. We celebrate her life with memories which will never fade and remember her as a flower that did not wilt but was transplanted to God’s garden, where she is blooming in richer colours and sweeter shades than those of earth. Giulia is survived by her parents, Carmen (née Psaila) and Tonio, her surviving grandparents, her many family members and friends. A celebration for Giulia’s life will take place at the parish church in Mqabba, tomorrow, Thursday, June 7, at 3.30pm. Attendees are kindly requested not to wear black. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares in Giulia Maria’s memory will be greatly appreciated. Rest in peace, beloved daughter.
SAMMUT. On May 31, SYLVIA, widow of George, passed away suddenly at her residence in Attard, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 82. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters, Mary, wife of Roger Clark, Doris, wife of Charles Sammut and Vivienne, wife of Carmel Fsadni, her sister-in-law Marianne Decelis, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, June 7, at 8.30am, for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SCIBERRAS. On June 4, at St Vincent de Paul residence, JOSEPHINE (Peppina) of Qrendi, aged 93, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her six children Doris, Teresa, Joseph, Sidio, Maria and Nancy, their spouses, her relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today, Wednesday, June 6, at 2.45pm, for St Mary’s parish church, Qrendi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Qrendi cemetery. ZAMMIT. On June 5, at Casa Arkati, LOUIS, from Sliema, widower of Maria (n�e Cefai), aged 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Johanna and her partner Sasa, Angela and her husband Joey, Jean and his wife Nadia, his grandchildren Chiara and her husband Davide, Krista and Adam, Giulia, Luca and Nina and his great granddaughter Mila, his sister Yvonne and her husband Dr Joe Micallef Stafrace, his brothers Dr Stanley Zammit and his wife Emily, Charles and his wife Maxine, his brother-in-law John and his wife Barbara, all his nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Casa Arkati, Mosta, tomorrow, Thurs-day, June 7, at 7.30am, for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
