Good morning, the following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers.

Times of Malta leads with the announcement that the government will remove surrogacy from the Embryo Protection Law, a story also taken up by The Malta Independent and In-Nazzjon.

Times of Malta also reports that nearly 500 trees were uprooted this year. 

The Malta Independent reports that  Wastserv has applied for a permit for a multi-material recovery facility in Birzebbuga. 

In-Nazzjon highlights a direct order for a consultancy service in SportMalta given with the approval of  Clifton Grima, the parliamentary secretary for sports.  

l-orizzont says non-mineral waste in Malta has increased by 38%. It also highlights travel costs incurred by then prime minister Lawrence Gonzi and his wife on and before 2012.
