Fort St Angelo will open for a reduced price of €2 on June 7, with opening hours extended to 11.30pm.

The historic fort will offer people a unique platform from where visitors can follow the Pageant of the Seas, Valletta 2018's flagship event.

During the day, the Historical Reenactment Group of Malta and various other international reenactment groups will bring the fort back to life highlighting garrison life during the two-year French blockade that took place between 1798-1800.

Pageant of the Seas, organised by Valletta 2018, features numerous regatta boats, power boats, yachts and carnival floats. The event, from 4.30 to 11.30pm, includes L-Għawma Toni Bajada and the race with a twist, Tellieqa Telliqun.

The grand final will consist of a special pyrotechnic show from a number of floats rigged in Grand Harbour and from Fort Ricasoli.

The fort will open at 9am and the last entry at 11pm. Children and Heritage Malta members enter for free.
