Obituary

CAMILLERI. On June 2, Salvino, of Valletta, who lived in Floriana, aged 86, widower of Agnes, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Frankie and his wife Judy, his daughter Maria Zahra and her husband Lawrence, his brother Carm and his wife Thérèse, Victor and his wife Agatha, his grandchildren André and his partner Adriana, Francesca and her fiancé Jürgen and Mariah Thérèse, other family and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, June 4 at 1.15pm to the Church of the Holy Cross, Floriana where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Maria Adolorata Cemetery. Eternal Rest, grant to him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

PORTELLI. On May 25, in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York, IAN of Victoria, Gozo, aged 39, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Lovingly remembered by his wife Paula and his sons Tylor and Cole, his mother Alice and father Saviour, his brother George and sister Anita and their respective families, his in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral took place in Poughkeepsie, New York at the Holy Trinity church on May 31. Interment has taken place in a private manner in the family grave at Santa Maria Cemetery, Xewkija, Gozo. May he rest in peace.

Requiem Mass

On the first anniversary of the death of our beloved VANNI GANADO, a Mass for the repose of his soul will be said tomorrow, Monday, June 4 at 6pm at the Ursuline Sisters chapel, Karm Galea Street, Sliema.

Building our children’s self-worth

The last Malta Adlerian Psychology Association meeting this season will be held on June 11 at 6.30pm at Le Meridien Hotel, St Julian’s.

The talk, entitled ‘Building our children’s self-worth’, will be delivered by Joyce Callus.

Breastfeeding course

The Association of Breastfeeding Counsellors (branch of Cana Movement) will be holding an antenatal breastfeeding course, open to all pregnant mothers and their families, on June 18 and 25 and on July 2 between 5 and 7pm at the Catholic Institute, Floriana.
