A 56-year-old man from Vittoriosa was seriously injured on Tuesday in a traffic accident in Cospicua.

The police said the accident happened in Triq l-Immakulata at 11am.

The 56-year-old was driving a Nissan March that was involved in a collision with a BMW that was being driven by a 30-year-old man from Fgura.

Both men were assisted on site by a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital. The 56-year-old was then transferred to hospital by ambulance.
