Malta international Rachel Cuschieri continued to make a name for herself after signing with PSV Vrouwen, of the Netherlands, on a two-year contract during a presentation at the famous Philips Stadium.

The creative midfielder joins the Dutch side after a one-year spell with RSC Anderlecht, with whom she scored six goals on the way to the Belgian title.

Cuschieri, who is recovering from a fractured tibia suffered during the 2017/2018 campaign, will be striving to leave an impact in Holland in an attempt to boost the club's title challenge.

Last season PSV Vrouwen finishing fifth last in the standings, 22 points behind Ajax against whom they lost the Women's Cup final as well.

"I feel very good", Cuschieri said to PSV TV.

"It's my first time in the Netherlands, and I'm looking forward to playing here because the level is higher.

PSV is a good club for the next step in my career," the 26-year old concluded.

Previously, Cuschieri captained Birkirkara Women to various local titles before moving to Apollon Limassol with whom she won the Cypriot championship as well as playing in the proper rounds of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
