Good morning, the following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers. The newspapers are dominated by reports of Saturday's fireworks factory explosion near Salina which injured two.

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that the Gozo hospital is on life support owing to a lack of consultants. It also reports that a new European Parliament working group is to monitor Malta, a story also featured in the newspaper Illum.

MaltaToday says Daniel Azzopardi is being earmarked to become head of Malta's representation to the EU once the contract of the current head expires. It also reports that Ali Sadr Hashemi Nejad, the head of Pilatus Bank, has been granted bail by a New York court, where he stands accused of violating US sanctions. 

The Malta Independent says PN leader Adrian Delia has given hard evidence that he has settled his dispute with the tax authorities. 

It-Torċa says there are good prospects for inter-country adoptions, especially following a government scheme to reimburse much of the costs involved. It also reports that the Provincial of the Dominican Order has gone to Rome, while the province has kept its gag on Fr Mark Montebello OP.
