The name Kaia Gerber may not ring an instant bell until you look at her face and link her to supermodel Cindy Crawford. Indeed, Kaia is Cindy’s daughter and no stranger to the modelling world, already a unique talent and personality that has secure multiple contracts and runway appearances with top fashion designers.

Just like her mother, Kaia has also aligned herself with Omega. She was officially welcomed into the brand at the ‘Her Time’ event during Paris Fashion Week in September 2017 and was the obvious choice to become the face for the new De Ville Trésor ladies’ collection. As Omega’s Trésor timepieces land in Malta, so too will Kaia’s face become instantly recognisable and linked to these luxury timepieces.

Kaia was photographed for Omega by Peter Lindbergh, the legendary photographer who has worked with Cindy many times. Kaia was captured in a stunning series of black and white images.

In the world of women’s watchmaking, Omega is one name that truly stands out. The brand has been dedicated to its female customers for more than a century, always producing exquisite beauty with innovation to match.

While paying tribute to its heritage, the brand has also been imagining new designs for the women of today.

The De Ville Trésor follows Omega’s tradition of crafting unique women’s styles, but with a new generation of female wearers in mind. Most notably, this is a collection that exudes confidence. Omega’s first use of the Trésor name appeared in 1949. At that time, it referred to the treasure found inside the watch – the legendary 30mm calibre. The movement itself became synonymous with precision, as well as simple, logical design. It also enabled Omega to give the original Trésor a beautifully thin, golden case.

Fast-forward to 2014, and De Ville Trésor’s welcome return. The 2014 Co-Axial movement was again highly advanced for its time and the thin case, with a height of just 10.6mm, gave it the traditional elegance of the original.

Omega has become passionate about retaining the Trésor name, and giving it new life and meaning once again. The newest collection houses the ‘treasure’ of a highly-precise quartz movement, which offers an even thinner case at just 9.75mm in height for the 39mm models, and just 8.85mm in height for the 36mm models. But more than this, the collection possesses the essence of Omega’s ladies’ watchmaking, which is to honour a remarkable history, while also producing the highest quality and most alluring watches for the women of today.

Trésor’s beautiful slim case and hands recall a classic touch, with reimagined elements such as the slender Roman numerals, plus curved diamond paving and straps which deliver a very contemporary feeling. In all models, diamond paving curves along each side of the case and a single diamond is set within the crown. For an added touch, Omega has added a flower on each crown, created out of five Omega logos in red, liquid ceramic.

On each Trésor model, Omega has included a special mirrored case back with a Her Time design. While providing a useful accessory at hand, the inclusion is more about the idea of reflection, giving women a reminder of who they are and the natural charisma they possess. Behind this case back sits the Omega calibre 4061.

Nine different models are available within the collection. Some come in cases made in stainless steel or 18ct Sedna gold, while straps come in fabric or leather. A diverse range of dial colours are also available – including black, taupe-brown, white, blue, opaline silver or mother-of-pearl.

In this spirit, Omega has unveiled the Trésor collection. Just like the women who inspired its creation, each model shines with its own personality, distinguished by a diverse range of materials and colours.
